B.Sc. - Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology is a 4 year degree program which aims at preparing the students in managing patients, looking after surgical instruments and their sterilization and safety.
B.Sc. - Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology is a 4 year degree program which aims at preparing the students in managing patients, looking after surgical instruments and their sterilization and safety. Students are trained in both theoretical & practical aspects of Operation Theatre technology to assist surgeons and anaesthesiologists during surgical procedures. Students will be trained in Basic life Support, Airway management in emergency situations, and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation amongst other critical medical practices.
They are appointed in the following area;
Apart from the operation theatre they are employed in emergency, intensive care unit and Surgical units.
The lateral entries applicable for all the UG Degree Course of Allied Health Science Wherever corresponding Diploma Course is valuable in the concerned speciality (Dip in CSSD Technician, Dip in Operation theatre technician). The duration of one year Internship applicable for all the lateral Entry Candidates.
